How To: Have Simple Sparkly-Clear Pool Water This Summer
CALLING ALL CHLORINE POOL OWNERS! I know what you are thinking… POOL SEASON!! Such an incredible time for the kids, friends, and family members in your life. The pool parties, the memories to be made, the sunshine, the swimming, the floating, etc. Pools are INCREDIBLE, and I know you want yours to be sparkly, clear, and as simple as possible. If this is you, keep on scrolling!
Opening!
I have some special tips for opening your pool. Now, if your pool is already opened, THAT’S OKAY! You can STILL use my ideas!
Whether you opened up your cover to a swamp or a crystal clear body of water, this will help you.
SWAMPERS: Do not be afraid of chlorine! ADD ADD ADD until your pool is clear! HERE’S THE TRICK: Triple shock your pool, check the chlorine level 2-3 times a day. If your Free Chlorine level drops at all, add more! Keep repeating until your chlorine stays high for a full 72 hours without having to add anymore. The transformation of your pool will be green, to cloudy, to clear. Be patient with it and stay on top of your chlorine until it’s clear! THEN, keep reading to find out how to keep the green away for GOOD!
CLEAR: When you open your pool, it is very important to add a metal remover and an algicide to your water. I recommend BioGuard® Scale Inhibitor and Back Up® 2. Then, it is important to add your initial dose of shock treatment to the pool. for this, I recommend BioGuard Burn Out 3® or Smart Shock®.
